Our Beautiful Outdoor Wedding...

We were very blessed to have our good friends Allison and Micah Overmon drive here from Georgia to attend our wedding. Micah had a new camera that he brought along with him and offered to take some shots in addition to what our photographer and my good friend, Nicki Olinde, was taking. Of course we said that was fine and when we received the photos this week we were a bit speechless to say the least. He has a great eye and I think he has an awesome talent for photography.

I am still waiting on the official wedding photograpghs but while I am getting revived and rejuvenated at the Live the Dream Ladies Conference, I wanted you to enjoy these...

The Rest of the Story...

So, Ryan got off a bit early and rushed home so we could make it to the concert. On the way there he told me that he had spoke to someone who could help us get the tests that I needed done without paying out of pocket. This was a huge relief to say the least. After we had that conversation I became more aware of just how serious this could be. Could I really lose my hearing? This happened so gradually that I have just recently come to grips with the fact that I really can't hear a lot of things. I have to watch TV with complete silence in the background or else I have to use subtitles. There are times when my boys insist that they called for me but I never heard them. I find myself saying "What?" quite often. I just can't hear everything people say to me sometimes. I hate it. Again I started to question God.

We arrived at the concert and I met Susan who is just as pretty as she is sweet! What a great lady. We chatted briefly, hugged and we rushed in to find a seat. There were people standing everywhere because there were no seats available. We figured we wouldn't be able to sit down which was bad because Ryan had been standing at work all day and he was hoping to be able to rest his legs for a while. And what do you know, two seats were left unoccupied. We asked the gentlemen sitting closest to them if they were occupied and he said, "No, they are yours!" We sat down to enjoy the show.

We worshiped through the first two bands and then right before Mercy Me came on this video played:

I knew what God was speaking to my heart. I just needed Ryan to confirm it and he did. As soon as the video stopped playing he looked at me and with the most sincere and concerned tone I have ever heard from him said, "We need to do that." I told him I agreed and that we would have to look up the website when we got home. I immediately asked God to remind me. I have a horrible memory! But, as it turns out we didn't need to be reminded. Right then and there they asked who was interested in sponsoring a child. Ryan's hand went up and we were handed a packed that contained the picture of a little girl from Bolivia. She immediately became a part of our family. Meet Veronica Medina....

We immediately signed up to sponsor this little girl for the mere price of $32 a month and the time it takes to write her letters of encouragement, send her pictures, lift her up in prayer and send her gifts for her birthday and Christmas. We have the opportunity to share Christ with this child who is thousands of miles away. She is one of 6 children and she lives with her mother who is employed on occasion as a seller at the market. They make less than $75 a month.

After we filled out the papers Mercy Me began to play. We worshiped and sang and I just let go of all that other stu
