So this weekend we continued our shed project with the help of my brother and Tori, his significant other. It was a long exhausting day and much man, and woman, strength was involved but we succeeded in getting all of the walls up. Now all that is left is the roof! Whew!
We are almost done with the crown moulding in the house. We still have a little bit of touch-up painting where we had to tear into our NEW drywall to fix some NEW leaky pipes. New just shouldn't break... but it does.
Still left to do: -flowerbeds (100 bags of rubber mulch are on their way to our house) -deck outside our master bathroom (for the hot tub that a friend gave us-- apparently they don't like hot tubs) -paint the front door (special shade of green!) -replace all closet doors -install above-ground pool -build platform for zipline -finish cutting/burning the giganto dead tree we chopped down the other day
So the list is small. I'm sure I forgot some stuff too.
We live in an apartment right now and are in the process of getting things ready to move...we don't know where we'll be moving yet or when exactly but it is on the horizon
I see you've been making some blog changes again. It looks GREAT, as always. We're doing all kinds of home projects around here since we listed our house on the market 2 months ago and we're hoping to purchase some land to start building a house by fall. Of course, that's just barely a tiny nut-shell version of all that's going on here, but suffice it to say... we have ALL kinds of home projects going on !
Amy - and a very nice shed it is. Currently - my dream is to get the carpet back into the boys room and get all their furniture back into THEIR room after the carpet flooded. LOL
I'm also dreaming of a garden but have to get termites treated this week. Does that count as a house project????? I want to move.
I found you through Beloved Mama. I enjoyed my time here. Most especially your honoring of the young soldier who was killed. What a heartbreaking story.
Your recent post is pretty timely. We spent all day yesterday doing yardwork, which included putting in railroad tie steps. (I will post tomorrow)
My favorite part is the girl reading the directions... guys skip that part. You can rest assured that your building is being constructed properly! HA! Home projects at our house are on-hold for the time being. Trying to save for bigger better things.

I need some more coffee. And money.
Does Spring Cleaning like a maniac count?

Looks great! But the questions should be what home projects are you NOT working on. LOL I can chime in on that one!
